Special food in Slovenia

We have some special food. We like štruklji (dumplings), ričet (thick soup with barley), pečenice (frying sausages), žganci (hard-boiled corn mush). We don't like krvavice (black pudding or blood sausages).

Our favourite special food is "potica". It's a walnut roll. We eat this dessert for holidays (specially for Easter and Christmas).
For making it you need: flour, yeast, eggs, nuts, sugar, salt. It's not easy to make it. Grandmothers usually bake it.

  2. Sure you could bake it. Our teacher says: "When there's a will, there's a go!"

You can find the recipe here: http://www.celtnet.org.uk/recipes/miscellaneous/fetch-recipe.php?rid=misc-walnut-potica
